Korenovsk district intends to cultivate Australian red claw crayfish

The Administration of Korenovsk district plans to start-up a crayfish farm. Crayfish will be cultivated using intensive technologies within the closed-loop water system. Investors are invited to implement the innovative project.

Crayfish are a traditional and fairly popular product in Russia which will be definitely of demand among stores, restaurants, cafes and pubs. It is expected that the Central Federal District, in particular – Moscow and Moscow region – will be the sales markets for the products. It is planned that around 1 million of specimen will be cultivated per year.

A business plan was developed for the investment project. The project needs 200 million rubles in the form of direct investments.

The project implementation period is 4 years, and the return on investment period is 4.5 years. The construction of the facility will allow to create 47 new jobs.

A land plot of 2,913 sq. m. was formed to implement the project. The site is located in the farm of Proletarskiy. There is a local road, Komsomolskaya Street (100 m), there. The distance to the federal highway М-4 «Don» is 18 km.

The distance from the municipal center of Korenovsk city is 12 km. The distance from the regional center of Krasnodar city is 77 km.

The distance to the nearest railway station of Korenovsk is 21 km, to the Krasnodar Airport is 77 km, and to the seaport of Novorossiysk is 240 km.
