More than 55 Thousand People Gather the Race “Formula 1” in the Krasnodar Region

This information was announced during the working visit of the Deputy Prime Minister Dmitriy Kozak to Sochi, who has inspected the progress of construction of the Royal race track. The Governor of Kuban Alexander Tkachev has taken part in visiting the Olympic capital as well.

The length of the race track of the Grand Prix "Formula 1" is 5.8 km. Overall readiness of the facility taking into account all the infrastructure is estimated to be at 90%.

Works is being on schedule, object putting into operation is planned to be scheduled for September 30, 2014.

On August 10, the International Automobile Federation will hold a final inspection of the racetrack. Since that time, test events will be held here.

As the press service of the Administration (Governor) of the Krasnodar region reports, 30% of tickets have been already purchased on the "Formula 1" today. The agiotage is seen from both the Russians and foreign fans of racing.

In this regard, the decision to build an additional tribune with the capacity of about 7,000 people was made. As a result, the total number of fans who will see the competition will be more than 55,000 people.  It was initially planned to take only 20 million viewers here.

– For the Krasnodar region and Sochi, the event will attract a large audience and investment; it is recognition of the region and filling the hotels, – said Alexander Tkachev. – It is no accident that the Formula is held in October, in the low season when the hotel industry is almost empty. Of course, it will affect positively on the budgets of all levels and the economy of our region.
